| Hey Leute, We have a few announcements to make, yay! New Dice!We have decided to spice things up by adding a few more dice to the forum! You can now choose from 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 20 sided dice! We're working on uploading images for each side now. Open Threads! There are a few open threads already on the forum, but they aren't getting much action. If you have a storyline in mind, go ahead and make a thread for it! Just put 'Open Thread' in the Subject line! Storyline Guides Storyline Guides are a simple guide to what happens in each thread of the storyline. These are now posted on both Media-Based and Traditional Roleplay Portals, with a summary of all the threads so far. If you make a thread, be sure to post a small summary under the guides! Character StatisticsIt has come to our attention that the current rules for fighting are simplistic and do not take certain qualities into account. Under the current system, two characters are equal and hits are based on chance, rather than skill. The Admins are thinking of implementing a new system based on statistics that you choose for your character. There will be chances to level up your character after a certain number of posts, as well as a cap on statistics to insure new characters do not come in under-equipped. Here's how it will work: You get 5 points to distribute between four qualities: Charisma, Strength, Agility, and Intelligence. You do not need to use all points, and you may distribute them any way you like. However, your statistics will tell others how to deal with your character. If your character constantly lies and has a Charisma of 4, he will be believed more often than if he has a Charisma of 2. - Strength: A measure of how physically strong a character is. Strength often controls the maximum weight the character can carry, melee attack and/or damage, and sometimes hit points.
- Intelligence: A measure of a character's problem-solving ability. Intelligence often controls a character's ability to comprehend foreign languages and their skill in magic.
- Agility: A measure of how agile a character is. Agility controls defense and movement speed and accuracy, as well as the difficulty of an opponent's attack. In other words, you use strength to attack someone and agility to defend against attack.
- Charisma: A measure of a character's social skills, and sometimes their physical appearance. Charisma generally influences prices while trading, and NPC reactions.
